DAY 5 10.30am-12.30am: adidas by Stella McCartney Like everything in life, you perform better when you look good, and McCartney believes sportswear is no different. For me, a baggy netball tshirt and a pair of shorts suffices when I’m in the mood for a workout, but there was something intriguing about her showcase for adidas. Her collection was exhibited in the form of synchronized swimmers, gymnasts hanging from the ceiling and spinning models, all showcasing the collection within the practicalities of which it would be used for in every day life – something McCartney was obviously keen to put across to the fashion world. Inspiring women to go out there and swim, cycle, go to a yoga class – this is the main aim. With sustainable textiles, sheer fabrics and fashion details, such as those oversized sleeves on tops and sweaters, McCartney’s collection gives you the best in terms of science and style. We all know it’s important to exercise, and with collections such as this hitting LFW, it’s getting harder and harder to ignore…now …

Day 4 9.45am: ROKSANDA ILINCIC Ilincic showcased her Spring/Summer 2014 collection in the surroundings of London Bridge Quarter. Her designs put the geo trend back into the forefront of our minds for next Summer – it’s not over yet! The bold Crayola colours were a breath of fresh air after the ‘pastels, pastels and more pastels’ situation we are more than used to now for Spring/Summer – fingers crossed next year will be the year of no pastels! Illincic has focussed on structure and minimalism for this season, creating bold lines with geometric prints on tunic style dresses and laser cut neoprene patterns decorating skirts. There was, however, an element of feminism that helped balance Ilincic’s statement – queue the embellished 3D flowers, the CUTEST bow heels ever and cinched in waists on dresses to provide a womanly silhouette. This is minimalism at its maximum – a wearable collection that allows women to look less cutesy, more ‘fashion’ for Summer. I predict the high street will definitely imitate the petal embellished jacket and I will …

DAY 3 12am: Mulberry SS14 Tanya Burr took to the frow for today’s Mulberry catwalk show – a first for the beauty blogging world. As well as blogging royalty, fashion royalty of its highest rank also perched on the front row in the form of Anna Wintour. With an impressive crowd in attendance, Emma Hill, Creative Director, had to, well, impress. Even more so as it was her last collection for Mulberry. Complete with a bulldog, the collection felt quintessentially British and ladylike – a signature Mulberry characteristic. The tangerine red floral print added a Sixties vibe and the all leather outfits were quite surprising and definitely added another dimension to the catwalk. As expected, Hill also debuted a new handbag during the show. The Kensal is a briefcase style shoulder bag and perfectly practical – part of Mulberry’s DNA. Ultimately, Hill ensured her work here was done. The question is, who will follow in her successful footsteps?   3pm: Topshop Unique Even more fashion icons flocked to Topshop’s Show Space for Unique’s Spring Summer …

DAY 2 7.13am: Champagne hangover. Brilliant. Feeling a bad hair day coming along also – hopefully not as horrific as Marc Jacobs’ S/S 14 models. 8.03am: Eating honey porridge and contemplating outfit nombre deux. I’m thinking a fedora. Can you wear a fedora in September? Too early maybe, but it’s raining again so would be practical. Too much thinking. I don’t think I can deal with this fretting for another three days. I am going to opt for a sweats and tee look for several weeks after LFW ends – the decision making part of my brain needs a rest. I also need to take back the huge bags of purchases I bought for nothing else but a comfort blanket to ensure I had back up options. Better do it soon as I have about 21p in my bank account. Oh, porridge is now cold. 9.31am: Okay, I am ready, let’s do this. Had to give my new KG boots a test run in the rain so took my cat, Fifi, on a little walk …

London Fashion Week. A beacon for new designers, a congregation of fashion creatives, an event EVERY fashion blogger wants to attend, including myself. As LFW approached this week, I started to think about what my LFW experience would be like if I did have invites with my name on them… DAY 1 9am: Funny Bunny or Bubble Bath? Fifi, Funny Bunny or Bubble Bath?! Totally lost it due to three whole days of outfit fretting and panic buying the whole of Cos and Whistles. Now I’m screaming OPI shades at my cat! Shouldn’t even be painting my nails this late but only just decided which jacket I’m going to wear. Waking up to hear lashings of rain on the window pane translated as an alarm bell alerting me that my mohair jacket will not suffice in today’s current climate. So, jacket choice number eight (suitably waterproof and sports luxe at the same time) will have to suffice. 9.31am: Just browsing Instagram…looks like Susie Bubble will be rolling up to LFW in a Rolls Royce all …
