Whilst I’m at home practising a Fauxchella (buying a prairie dress from Topshop and listening to Arcade Fire in my car on the way to work), the social elite and a few lucky others are midway through the second weekend of the boho bash that is, Coachella. Scrolling through my Instagram on my lunch break during Coachella makes me long for a dusty field, some cuban boots and a floral headband (the bigger, the better). It’s a music festival that naturally comes with its own dress code and showcases how music and fashion can be perfectly harmonious. Coachella’s fashion DNA is a mixture of boho, safari and rock and roll. Hair is naturally tousled, plaited or brightly coloured and bodies are beautifully bronzed. Unlike Glastonbury, the Californian sunshine guarantees no mud so footwear is an endless possibility. Coachella has become the most fashionable music festival in the world and its documentation on social media has made it impossible to stay away from. For girls, it’s an opportunity to dress like a free spirited Pocahontas and have fun with your style. Here’s a few ideas on how to rock a Coachella look…
