The last few months of my University life included no exercise, days sat in the library, stress and eating fast food. As a result of this, my poor, poor skin has severely suffered! It feels dehydrated, lost any glow it had before, and I’ve started getting a build up of blemishes around my chin area. So, I decided to take action in the form of Origins. I have never used any of their products, however I have heard their organic ingredients are MUCH better for your skin than any type of spot zapper product, such as Clearasil. With those type of brands, I’ve realised they only give you short term results, and inevitably put you in a worse position than you were before! So, I’ve decided to go more natural, and hopefully I’ll see long term results.
For first impressions, the Checks and Balances frothy face wash doesn’t leave your skin taught, however leaves your skin feeling thoroughly clean and oil-free. With ingredients such as lavender and camomile, it soothes your skin and is especially effective on blemish affected areas. It definitely seems to be a long term cleansing solution in order to help balance out your skin type.
The Super Spot Remover includes flower oils, witch hazel and cucumber extract as well as salicylic acid and aids to fight blemishes. It definitely reduces their redness and you can feel it working as soon as you apply it to the specific area. It makes your blemishes feel a lot less irritable and sore, and I really hope that if I continue using this it will zap them away completely!
I grabbed a sample of the new GinZing energy-boosting moisturiser suitable for combination skin and I love it! The smell and gel texture is amazing, including extracts of spearmint, lemon and grapefruit so it feels really fresh on your skin. It definitely gives a certain radiance to your skin, and used daily is a great way to ensure your skin keeps its vitality and hydration up. It is oil free so perfect for combination/oily skin types and includes coffee beans to revitalise. I will definitely be purchasing a tub of this stuff!
